Dr Nicholas Teo is a GP Phlebologist with a special interest in venous disease, lymphatic disorders, and lipoedema. He is the Director of Better Veins Clinic, where he provides comprehensive assessment and minimally invasive treatment for patients with chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, leg swelling, and lipoedema-related vascular conditions. Dr Teo graduated from The University of Queensland and holds Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has completed advanced training in phlebology through the Australasian College of Phlebology and has additional qualifications in vascular ultrasound and radiation safety. He is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes for people living with chronic venous and lymphatic disorders. With a strong interest in lipoedema, Dr Teo recognises the complex relationship between venous disease, lymphatic dysfunction, and adipose tissue disorders. He provides detailed vascular assessment to identify co-existing venous insufficiency, which may contribute to symptoms such as pain, swelling, heaviness, and reduced mobility. His practice includes endovenous laser ablation, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and microsclerotherapy, with treatment tailored to each patient's individual needs and goals. Dr Teo is passionate about improving awareness of lipoedema and empowering patients through education, accurate diagnosis, and collaborative long-term management alongside lymphoedema therapists, surgeons, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals.
